Olá! While doing the futuro do subjectivo I came across the frase; ‘Tu fazes conforme entenderes.’ Translated into ‘you do as you please’. I’m guessing it is an expression and not to be taken literally; ‘you do as you understand.’ Now the English frase, on its own, sounds relatively neutral, almost indifferent, like ‘Do what you want to do, I don’t really care.’
But than the woman in the filmed fragment has some kind of an agressive tone in her voice. So what’s going on here. What does the frase really mean or in what kind of situations can or is it be used? Obrigado! Ciao!

Great connotation question!
@csbartolozzi, good question. The translation is what you said. In terms of use, it can be used neutrally, but also (and arguably more often) in a somewhat passive-aggressive way, as if you were really saying “the decision is yours, but really, you should listen to me”. It’s all about context and tone
