The word BRIGA definition :-)

Hello, perhaps some of you could share the definition of the word BRIGA? I found that it means FIGHT but wonder in what context this word might be used? oBRIGAda!

@katauskisjonas, the word is used in contexts where… there is a fight  It can be verbal or physical. The word is well known and used in European Portuguese, but even more so in Brazilian Portuguese.

Some examples, first with the noun and then with the related verb:

  • Houve uma grande briga no bar. (There was a big fight at the bar)
  • Os meus filhos brigam todos os dias. (My children fight every day)
