Hi, a lot of the threads here are old, so I thought I’d start a new one.
I’m most of the way through PP A1. I feel like when I knew this much French, or even less Indonesian, I could have at least simple conversations, conversations in which I could slowly learn in the process. Not so w Portuguese.
I have lots of native Portuguese friends, however most of them can’t slow their speech much, so even if they want to help, it doesn’t work.
In some threads people mentioned specific learning groups/classes in Lisbon - or conversation partners. I’ll be there again for a month in mid December (Amadora). Or anything in NYC would be great too (Queens…or anywhere). I think a conversation partner or conversation class would be really useful.
I’m open to any suggestions, and would be grateful for any contacts people might have… And would be happy to connect online too
Many thanks!! -Will
