Olá Practice Portuguese,
I would like to expand my word pool in an easy way. I really enjoy the „Units“ section 
and work with it a lot, but the exercises focus more on whole sentences than on single words. So I just wondered if it might be possible to offer a simple vocabulary trainer, with the words sorted by categories?

Building a Vocabulary
There are many ways to build a vocabulary and every one will have their own method. This is a method that I have developed which has worked for me.
I build up a situation using the headings:-
Consists of - Consiste em.
Comtains - Contém. (Either inside, in or on something)
Is made of - É feito de. ( For manufactuted and hand made items)
I then create a situation and start with basic words ie A praia. O mar. O sol
Na Praia.
Que consiste em que?
A praia consist em areia.
O mar consiste em agua salgada.
O sol consiste em fogo.
Que contém que?
A praia contém- Um pâra-sol. Uma espreguiçadeira*. Uma bolsa da praia**.
O mar contém - Peixe. Crustaçaoes. Baleias. Tuberões.
O sol contem - Gases.
** A beach bag. Probably not a Portuguese name; I made it up but it sounds good.
Do que isso é feito?
O pâra-sol é feito de metal e tecido.
A espreguiçadeira é feita de plastico.
A bolsa da pria é feita de algodão.
You can add more basic words as you go and expand on other items. ie
Que consiste em que?
As crustaçaoes consiste em. Caraguejos. Lagostas. Camarão. Marisco.
Que contém que?
A bolsa da praia contém. Uma revista. Um livro. Os occulos do sol. Um tubo de proteto solar. Uma lata de cerveja. Uma garrafa de agua. Um pacote de sanduiches. Um bolo.
Do que isso é feito?
A revista é feita de papel.
Os occúlos do sol são feitos de metal e vidro.
