Olá,

I want to say ‘De quanta madeira precisa?’ Is ‘de’ dropped in questions? Is keeping it incorrect? Thank you!

Similarly, Essa flor é a que eu mais gosto - why wouldn’t it be ‘Essa flor é a da que eu mais gosto’? It does sound more cumbersome but isn’t ‘de’ required?

Good question, @marg64! In both cases, it is technically more correct to retain the preposition ‘de’ and say “De quanta madeira precisa?” and “Essa flor é a de que eu mais gosto”. That’s what we should be teaching, so I will take a look at those exercises :slight_smile: In any case, in practice, it is indeed rather usual to omit the preposition in daily life.
