When conjugating -ER or -IR regular verbs in the past imperfect tense, are there any ending differences? I was told nós conjugates to iamos (no accent on the i) from -ER and to íamos (accent on the i) from -IR. Is this wrong?

Whether it’s an -ER or -IR verb, the 1st-person plural ending (for nós) is always accented: íamos.
