Found this gem today. Maybe more specific to brazilian PT? But yet another grammatical construct I had never heard of.
Brazilian and European Portuguese should be fully aligned in this Also, there are simpler terms we can also use:
- Palavras oxítonas = agudas (stressed syllable is the last one)
- Palavras paroxítonas = graves (stressed syllable is the second to last one)
- Palavras proparoxítonas = esdrúxulas (stressed syllable is the third to last one)
