Hi all, I’ll be visiting Lisbon in November and would love to find a local teacher to practice speaking with (for pay, of course). I have worked through A1 and part of A2 on Practice Portuguese, but have zero speaking practice. I would love to combine with walking tour or cooking lesson. Anyone have ideas or experiences? Thanks! Hi Marieke. I had a similar desire during my June visit to Lisbon, and I hired a guide from Your Friend in Lisbon for a 3-hour private walking tour in Portuguese. It was just what I needed. While not a language teacher, the guide was happy to adjust her pace to meet my level, which was B1/B2. It wasn’t cheap, but November will probably be a slow period and you might be able to bargain a bit. Good luck. Steve
