Why does one say “Ele ainda é jovem” instead of “Ele é ainda jovem” of He is still young? I know word order is not always the same as in English so I´m missing something in the grammar order.

@jhramsey68, ainda can be placed both before and after the verb (or before/after the auxiliary verb in a verb phrase), but it’s more common to place it before. So, we prefer “Ele ainda é jovem” over “Ele é ainda jovem”.
