Games/apps for fun/learn

Can anyone recommend any apps you may play in your downtime. Admittedly, I play card games, sudoku, etc., to kill time.

Does anyone play any Portuguese language games that they could recommend? I am thinking something simple like hangman or an easy crossword in Portuguese.

Thanks.

Linguno (.com) has a lot of crosswords which it grades both by level and subject matter.

Try Termo. It’s a Portuguese Wordle.

Langlandia – It’s a battle game where you fight your Beast against others, join clans, and battle other clans. There are tournaments and professors to defeat in order to progress along the Fluency Road. The idea is that it feels like a game, but you learn the language while playing. There’s also a speech mode. It offers both a free and a paid version. The Portuguese is Brazilian, which isn’t ideal, but it has still helped me a lot. I used it to learn Spanish in just a few months, along with grammar books.

Lingo Legend – You have two game modes. One is a farm, where you raise the cutest llamas—possibly alpacas—and grow your farm through language practice, which keeps your pets healthy and happy. The other mode is a battle game where you play language cards to attack enemies. Each card shows a word or phrase—you answer a multiple-choice question to activate it. Correct answers power up your attacks, while wrong ones let the enemy strike. Cards have different effects (damage, healing, defense), and strategy comes from choosing the right cards for your Beast and the situation. You move forward down a battle road, and it’s seriously really fun! I went through the battle road with Spanish, so I can’t do it again with Portuguese, but I can still practice Portuguese in card battle mode and keep a farm for it too.

Both games have really helped me cement vocabulary and develop rapid recall. And the best part—they actually feel like games.
