Pixar movies are fun to learn with. If you buy the DVD in Europe or obviously in Portugal, the Portuguese is likely to be European, and they do just as good of a job with the Portuguese acting etc as in the original English version. You can also choose whether to follow along with EN subtitles or Portuguese (although the PT subs will often be slightly different than the audio since it seems the translator is probably a different person.)
I find they are great for picking up small expressions you can use daily since the language is often informal.
That said, you probably lose a bit of effectiveness by them being cartoons and not live actors, but since the movies are fun and so well done, a learner may be more likely to want to watch them than to dive in the full deep end with a Portuguese movie without subtitles.
