European Portuguese book source in the US

I have tried unsuccessfully to find a source of recent or semi-recent novels written in European Portuguese in the US. I prefer a book in hand rather than ebooks. The few I have found are ridiculously priced.

Anyone have any leads? A shot in the dark, I know.

I don’t know if they ship… but this is a major bookstore in Portugal. I’m getting great vocab practice just reading their monthly magazine about what’s new! That should also give you a sense of who are the contemporary Portuguese authors/poets.

Here’s the other major bookstore I’ve encountered (they sell everything): https://www.fnac.pt/livro/h5#bl=MMlivros

Good luck!

Any luck since then Brian? I am in central FL and despite a large Br community and a sizable Pt community, there is simply nothing I could find.

Livraria Bertrand does ship internationally. I wrote them and they gave me instructions. Haven’t ordered from them yet.

I’ve been living with digital books. Not my favorite.

Is shipping expensive?

I didn’t get as far as postage with them, sorry to say. They did respond promptly to my email, however, so I’m sure they would give you an estimate. Seemed eager to help.

Thanks Anton.
To be honest I am tired of digital content and screens. I wish there was a real Portuguese bookstore nearby.
