hen I work with “Smart Review-Flash Cards”
I sometimes come up with a different solution
than the PracticePortuguese one.

For example with:

Which hotel did you (inf.) stay at?

I have answered with both of these phrases:

MINE: em qual hotel tu ficaste?
MINE: em que hotel tu ficaste?

whereas the PracticePortuguese solution is:

PracPort: Ficaste em que hotel?

My question is, are all three of the phrases equivalent?
Or are mine in some ways considered incorrect grammar?
If so, how so?

Here is another example. With

Which book did he read?

I have come up with

MINE: Qual livro ele leu?
MINE: Ele leu o que livro?

whereas the PracticePortuguese solution is:

PracPort: Ele leu qual livro?

Again, are all three equivalent,
or do my solutions include grammar that is incorrect?
If so, how so?

Ah, yes, it’s normal to have multiple ways of expressing the same idea. All of your proposed alternatives are also okay to use, with just one small correction: Ele leu que livro (not …leu o que…) :slight_smile:
