Lesson here: never take an exam that depends upon getting assessed and results back over the August “ferias” season… 
We don’t expect the hard-copy version of the results until sometime late next week and slightly after - they’re only supposed to arrive in Leiria (where we took the exam) by Monday. Wow…

I’ve been using italki.com for about a year with great success! It can be challenging to find European Portuguese natives for sure - the way it’s set up, there’s no way to distinguish between people who live in Portugal who are actually from Brazil or from Portugal. I messaged people who seemed like good possibilities and asked up front whether they were natives of Portugal. Right now I have 5 people who I speak with fairly regularly, and it’s been so helpful to not only speak so much, but to get different perspectives on topics we discuss. I’d also recommend trying conversationexchange.com, I’ve met some great people there as well. Boa sorte!

Eu também fiz o exame no dia 21 de setembro passado na Universidade de Lisboa. O que é que do acha? Acho que a compreensão de ouvir foi muito difícil! Tivemos um minuto para ler as respostas - 5 questões com três possível respostas corretas. Um minuto! E depois, houve aviões em cima enquanto estivemos a ouvir à gravação. Foi impossível. Adivinhei as respostas. No entanto, estou a esperar passar com pelo menos 55 por cento. Isso é ‘suficiente’. hahaha.
Então, vamos saber no dia 25 de outubro se passamos.

Hi Paige, I had no trouble finding a native speaker, and actually found someone from the same Azorean island. I have had 2 conversations so far and am finding it a great addition to practice Portuguese.
Wholeheartedly recommend italki. Best way to practice speaking.

Olá meninos! I am really interested in that listening part of the exam. I want to try B1. When I listen to Portuguese radios (Radio Observador, por exemplo) I always get the topic and mostly also some points I can recap, so i think that is a good start. I wanted to ask, if podcasts here are labeled as Medium and I understand 99,9% without having to look on the first go, it should be sufficient to pass, right? Eu não sei se quero fazer exames em português. Quando viajava por Alemania por causa do trabalho tive vários exames em alemão até o nivel B2.
O exame de que mais me lembro é o primeiro exame. Foi um curso de noite para adultos numa escola secundária e fizemos o mesmo curso que os alunos. Para a parte falada do exame fomos individualmente numa sala onde a examinadora sentava-se com um gravador e alguns envelopes com perguntas - um envelope para cada estudante.
Eu entrei a sala, a examinadora ligou a gravador, abriu o meu envelope e disse-me “descreva o seu uniforme escolar”.
Na idade de 50 anos foi uma pergunta muito dificile.
Olá @mprelovska! Personally, I’m not familiar with Portuguese language exams and I guess there’s probably no better source of info than the people who already took them, but I’d risk saying that if you understand PP’s medium-level podcasts that well, you should be good to go
