Bad, Singular, Plural?

Bad in Portuguese, so far I have come across Mau, Maus, and Mas, can anyone help with the difference?? Or am I being silly :grinning:

@davidgrossart281 the word is an adjective, and it varies in gender/number according to the noun it’s qualifying:

  • Mau = masculine singular
  • MĂĄ = feminine singular
  • Maus = masculine plural
  • MĂĄs = feminine plural

So, it can be translated in all four ways  Introduction to Portuguese Adjectives | Practice Portuguese

@furst.steve, that’s also a good question. It’s answered in this Learning Note: Mau vs. Mal and Bom vs. Bem | Practice Portuguese

There’s also another forum thread covering that subject: “MAU” x “MAL”–Qual Ă© a diferença? - Portuguese Questions - Practice Portuguese

perfect, thanks!
