In USA, appetizers are given before the entrée is served. And DeepL uses aperitivos/entradas here. But in PP we are taught that appetizers are entradas? How do we communicate in PT restaurants?
@karl, isn’t that because in the US, you somehow consider the entrée the main meal? In Portugal, as per the original French meaning, entrées are entradas. Aperitivos is used as a synonym. The main course would be prato principal.
