What’s the difference between algumas and alguns? Are they interchangeable?
Could the sentence ‘Eu como algumas maçãs.’ also be written as 'Eu como alguns maçãs?

The difference is gender: alguns is the masculine plural form of algum (some), and algumas is the feminine plural form. Maçã, being a feminine word, requires you to use algumas. Hence the correct sentence is “Eu como algumas maçãs.”

Thanks! That makes sense. I guess I was confused because when I looked in Linguee, it has all 4 words as pronouns, but never states whether they are masculine or feminine, which it usually does for other words.
